There's a way to do this without losing 1000 rep. If you delete your own comment in a place that gives you a +1 for leaving the comment in the first place, then the rep is a wash. You break even. It would be a ton of work, though. I'm just surprised no one mentioned how to do this without losing 1000 rep.
Thanks for explaining this. I recently misunderstood on how to earn a different achievement and I ended up rating down comments that I wouldn't have originally done it. I didn't understand that it would cause anything neg. to happen. So now I pay closer attention to how Im reading these.
