A VUL can also get this achievement if he has uploaded 1000 torrents

This is an assumption, but I'm guessing this is accomplished by rating torrents after you have downloaded and tested/verified them.

No. EricNorthman is correct. A VUL who uploads 1000 torrents after getting VUL status also gets this achievement, because the auto-verified torrents count as the uploader verifying them him/herself.

haha no vul has all its torrents verified automatically so thats why they got it

Deztructor, Eric is right. I just spoke to someone who got it that was a VUL who uploaded 1000 after getting VUL status and that's how it unlocked. It wasn't an accident and they were not ever a mod.
