How to license Autodesk AutoCAD 2008 x64:

What you need:

1. Windows XP x86 or Windows Vista x86 installed; (x86 is 32-bit)
2. Autodesk AutoCAD 2008 x32 installed and activated; (you can find it on this site)
3. Windows XP x64 or Windows Vista x64 installed;
4. Autodesk AutoCAD 2008 x64 installed.

This can be done using a dual boot setup or between computers(can be two different computers). Basically you will need an x32 Autodesk AutoCAD 2008 to generate the license file for your x64 Autodesk AutoCAD 2008.

The Keygen program for 32-bit Autodesk AutoCAD 2008 cannot be used to generate a valid registration code for 64-bit AutoCAD 2008.

Follow these steps:

1. In x86 Windows go to Start -> All programs -> Autodesk -> AutoCAD 2008 ... click on the "Portable License Utility";

2. Inside the "Portable License Utility" under Computers tab click "Add..." and fill the fields accordingly with your x64 Windows. To know what is your Autodesk AutoCAD 2008 x64 "Identification Code" just open "Portable License Utility" on your x64 Windows.

3. On "Licenses" tab click "Export license..." and save it somewhere.

4. In x64 Windows go to Start -> All programs -> Autodesk -> AutoCAD 2008 ... click on the "Portable License Utility", , and under "Licenses" tab click the computer name for your x64 Windows, choose "Import License" from the saved file;

After completing the steps above you should have your Autodesk AutoCAD 2008 x64 installed and activated.

6. Now you can only run the 32-bit AutoCAD 2008 for 24 hours, because its license has been transferred to the 64-bit AutoCAD 2008. If you want to use the 32-bit AutoCAD 2008 permanently, do the following. In your 32-bit Windows, delete all files in the folder C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Autodesk\Software Licenses, start the 32-bit AutoCAD 2008, redo activation using the Keygen program for the 32-bit AutoCAD 2008.
