My seeders come first, so talk to me.posted 22 Sep 2012, 05:14Your responses on my last blog post really touched me. But it occurs to me that I don't know all my lovely seeders as well as I'd like, and that there's something really important some of you might not know about me. My seeders come first.
I started uploading torrents in May of this year but it didn't take me very long to recognize the value of the people who donate their time and bandwidth to seed the packages I create. I can't justify the cost of a seedbox and I'm not sure I'd buy one if I could. although it makes for a nice back up. You see, I believe in team work and community, which is one of the reasons I stayed on KAT when things got tough for me this summer. Back in June during a private conversation with another super person here on KAT, we were talking about uploads. I told him "My seeders come first." He asked that that meant. I explained "When my seeders request something of me, if I have the material it becomes a priority upload. If I don't have the material, I search for it for them. If I can get my hands on it, I upload it for them. Either way, my seeders come first. Their requests take priority." He laughed and called me a crazy girl. And maybe I am. But my seeders come first and it's been that way from day one. So if you're one of my many lovely seeders, not all of whom I've had a chance to get to know as well as I'd like these past few months, this is your chance to talk to me. Your requests have always taken priority with me because I understand that together we're the reason why good content is available on KAT. I also recognize that people have different tastes and interests, and that it takes many brains to make quality product. So many of you (my seeders) have such terrific attitudes. You download files that you aren't even interested in just so they will be available for others, and some of you seed for months at a time. I believe YOU should be rewarded, so here's what we're gonna do.... Now you know. Your requests come first. The end? Nope. The beginning. I want you to talk to me. Tell me what you like and what interests you. Say, "Gen I really like Art" or "I wish I had more computer books" or "Do you have more vintage books? They're so rare" or "I wish I had a Douglas Adams collection, do you have any and would you put them up?" All yu have to do is tell me generally what YOU like and I will match it to my 80GB library and upload the closest thing I have to match your interests. Okay, floor's yours, my lovely seeders.... What interests you? What do you want more of? I may not have it but I will do my best for you because you give me your best. Let's see if we can create some packages that you might like for your own enjoyment and reward you for your generosity! |

This attitude helps thousands of people who are in similar situation, so I am trying my best to help to the best of my abilities. See, in my neck of the woods, things are a bit different - nobody is over my shoulder waiting to slap my wrist for UP/DL, but then, I'd wish I don't have to. Well, since I do have to do that (that is, the society forces me), I am more than glad to see people willing to share.
Indeed, sharing is caring, and thank you, GenX4332 for inviting me here.
Your collection really has a bit for everyone. Will definitely come back for more.
Keep it up!
