The European Parliament committee on international trade has voted to recommend that ACTA be rejected by parliament. The next and final vote for the treaty that was petitioned against by nearly three million people will be made by MEPs of member states deciding whether they will ratify the treaty. INTA represents legal affairs, justice and home affairs, industry and development, all of which have rejected the agreement.

It’s not looking too good for ACTA supporters. I’ve never even met an ACTA supporter as far as I’m aware. With news of the INTA decision coupled with some member states sternly claiming they will not ratify ACTA, it looks like it will be kept on life support for a few more years until MEPs put this poorly devised Hollywood scheme out of our misery.
