As a person who prefers science over religion,I believe that there are life forms outside the Earth, such as simple bacteria-like organisms, but regarding the intelligent ones, even if they do exist , they would have to be able to travel with the speed of light, and the ability to manipulate both time and space, due to enormous distances between the stars, in order to get in contact with us.
Even the greatest scientists can't answer this for sure, but I gave it a shot titter

The universe is so vast with so many galaxies (about 170 billion in the observable universe) that it would be the height of arrogance to assume that in all that vast space we alone have evolved. We are so far from anywhere that could support intelligent life though that we will in all probability never make contact with any other intelligent race of beings. This might actually be a blessing for us, in every instance on Earth when a more advanced civilisation has met a less advanced civilisation it has gone very badly for the less advanced one. Any beings who were technologically advanced enough to develop space warping technology allowing faster than light travel would be so advanced that we would be little more than savages to them. The sooner we move out into the stars ourselves the greater chance we will have of survival as a species.

I really do think there is something else in the universe surely there must be others in such a vast outer limits i loved that film "Close Encounters of the Third Kind " i don't have any proof of such things but...

I believe that we are not alone because the universe is limitless and we cannot exclude that maybe somewhere is another form of life.

Science would suggest the mathematical probability of a universe teeming with life. And for the religious, it would be arrogant that God created the entire universe for us alone. So I do believe in alien life. Ones obviously intelligent enough to avoid Earth.

I think so, but there is no real proof yet. We (humans) want to believe there is something or someone out there besides us. Why? Because we want to know, it's in our nature and what we are made of. We want to believe in something and we keep on trying to find it. And why do I think this way---that's just me (everyone is different) I guess!

In a galaxy of approximately 100 billion stars, surrounded by about another 100 billion galaxies which may contain approximately the same amount as our own, and with all the evidence of new planets being discovered continually, it is human/religious nonsense to assume that we are the be-all and end-all.
There may be some highly advanced races and some that are just climbing out of the primordial ooze as we speak.
Human beings sheer height of arrogance to assume we are all there is...

At school my science teacher explained the size of space like this: if the earths atmosphere is 10 miles above us,times that space by 10, then 100, then 1000, then a million and then finally a billion and you are not even close to the middle of our galaxy never mind leaving our galaxy. Space is to big for us to visualize, there our over 100 billion galaxy's known and the new James Webb telescope is expected to find many many more,so i reckon we are not alone. Que eerie music...

Watch IMAX Hubble, a really great documentary, and you'll know the answer. The universe is just too vast, wide, tremendous, ... to allow only one planet where live can be assured shocked The fact is that we just do not realize how enormous it is :/
