Question 28

posted 25 May 2012, 10:47
Evolution.

Evolution is something inevitable, it happens all the time everywhere.
That got me thinking(again) and what (if) we as man was to evolve?

I wonder what we would be like, hmm?

So the question for today my friends is: If men and womens bodies evolve in the future, how will our bodies change?

Accurately predicting evolutionary biology based on the mechanism for change being environmental factors is almost impossible, because we cannot see that far ahead. If temperatures continue to rise then just like the large bodied Neanderthals those of us who are physically bigger would have problems losing enough heat to maintain a viable body temperature. There is a fine balance between the amount of surface a body has that enables heat loss due to evaporation and muscle mass that will store heat. Given our technological advancements in the area of bio engineering through genetic manipulation we are in all probability going to start choosing for ourselves down which evolutionary path we travel. We rely less and less on physical strength and endurance and more and more on our intelligence so we may become quite finely bodied while still keeping large skulls. If pollution in the atmosphere meant less light then we would enlarge our eyes and perhaps even increase the size of our nostrils in order that we would be better able to filter air born particulates. We could end up looking quite similar to the little alien greys that many believe visit this planet. Maybe they are not visitors from another world but visitors from another time, maybe they are us.

I personally, would also like longer legs so I can run away from Brads external genitalia. I have actually always thought that a retractable willy would be quite useful, dangly bits are far too easily damaged. A little bit of bio luminescence could be quite handy as well, for when there are power cuts and you have to do it with the lights off.biggrin

Eventually we will end up as maggot like creatures living in fully automatic thought controlled pods where our every wish & need is attended to by machines until a virus wipes us all out.

I believe that the human race will eventually evolve to the point where we will will no longer need our physical bodies. We will have evolved to the point where we will become conscious energy. In this form we will then be able to look at the universe in a whole new light; the laws of our 3rd dimension will no longer apply. This of course will not happen for quite awhile. The human race has a long way to go before we can reach this type of evolution. smile

I think we evolve back to animals. It has already started! How many people you know that look like their pets. How many people have you seen that look like a horse,dog,cat,lizard,monkey,giraffe,hippo,fish,bugs,etc.,etc. Some will not and some will; even me (I have evolved into Jeff Bridges some say)shocked.

If it were any animal I'd have to go with Lizardman. Don't know why, just really appeals to me.
