The Devil

To me a devil is not satan him self. A devil can be anything really, for me my ego is my devil. "She" is the one that makes me do things for my own needs. Like selfishness and such things like that.

I am trying to quit smoking at the moment(it has ben two days since i last smoke) and it is my devil that tells me to give up and that it's okey to smoke just one more "then i quit". I don't know how many times i have said that to my self.

What / Whom is your Devil ?

My devil sits on my shoulder and whispers in my ear telling me to buck authority. The moment someone tells me I cannot do something my devil says “Did you hear that! You have been forbidden! Do it! Go on do it!” Sometimes my devil also tells me to do things that are bad because they would be funny and it is often so tempting to listen to him, because deep down I suspect he is probably right, and if he is not right he is certainly having a hell of a lot more fun than I am.

Best of luck quitting smoking, it gets much easier after just one week and since smoking makes the skin age prematurely the benefits to quitting are on the outside of your body as well as the inside.

My son when he dont get his own way he tells me hes a devil himself...wat can i say to that

My devil resides inside me, and through difficulty has been restrained with shackles. I lose control and loosen these shackles when I am angry, that is when my devil is released.
This has happened a few times and there are noticeable differences between the "me" of everyday and the "devil".

I Agree With you On The Idea That the "Ego" Can be the "Devil". As we all Know when your "Ego" is in Control, Nothing good will come from it. Proof is that Humans have been trying to transcend the Ego for a long time and move forward in a positive way.
