Pringlescan Anime Recommendations Vol. 15 Black Lagoonposted 02 Aug 2012, 05:52 Fuck you son of a bit....... well just trying to get you ready to Black Lagoon. If you don't like cussing and foul language, ignore this anime and all it's sailer mouthed glory that shine brighter than the sun. But seriously it's a foul mouthed anime, reminds me of me in a way. What it's about? Cussing, killing, murder, smoking, drinking. No seriously it is... it's more than that. It's about a guy who is pretty normal that gets involved with a group that isn't so normal. Things get pretty hairy and the guy starts to see things for what they really are. Realizing that the life he lived was not real and this life is. Why I recommend it? It's a brutal anime that puts you into place as soon as you start watching it. No build up like other animes. You're smack into "shit" right from the start. Even with all the foul language, blood and murder there is a deep story here. You get that feeling of goosebumps at points. The charators are so perfectly presented. You get to know them, but you don't get to know them. You don't get plastered with long episodes of background banter. You get who they are from the first few minutes. What I wish it had. As I always say.... more. It can easialy be 3+ seasons. There is a 5 episode OVA after the anime, but it leaves you wanting more. The manga still is ongoing(though it's in hiatus still). I do hope they finish this. I want to know what happens to the main male and female charators. Rating Story: 10 Character: 10 Rewatchable: 10 Overall: 10 To me it's another perfect anime. Yeah it has it's flaws, but the simplisticness of the anime and how it conveys those feelings of wanting to belong, wanting to be different, wanting to walk on the edge is what puts every flaw behind it. I know i am going to be flamed for this but i wont just sit here and let you suggest this sh*t.
I am not saying its not good, but it certainly doesnt proves that good as others told it to be.
Where is the real stuff ??
I remember that one scene where that tomboy main girl was being chased by 3Jeeps firing machine guns at her and in response she climbed up the roof with only her pistol and starts shooting at them.
So far it doesnt sound so bad...but that scene was stretched over 30-45 sec. of chase?..and enemy got machine guns which you can see in scene that is spewing bullets all around her.
Its so unnatural to see she is not being hit once. If this anime was BlackCat that woudnt had bothered me but this lady got no superhuman powers...
theres a limit of perfection...fighting gunbattle on top of a car against 3jeeps whose firing bullets back at you like crazy people is Crazy indeed if you are not even trying to evade them.
She is like standing there in all its glory like she hulk!?
