"Boardwalk Empire" Premiere Date

HBO's year-round quest to take over your life (and especially your Sunday nights) continues this September, as the pay-cable network today scribbled on its calendar and chose the return date for Boardwalk Empire.

The third season of Boardwalk Empire will premiere Sunday, September 16 at 9pm. HBO has ordered 12 episodes for the period drama set in Prohibition-era Atlantic City. Tune in to watch Nucky Thompson (Steve Buscemi) get his illegal drink on while killing a few people between swigs.
