Hi. It's me again. The "evil" side of me.
I won't hesitate to report you and your upload. I'm just saying.
As a community (not just KAT) we tend to be "nice guys/gals" and would like to get along with just about everyone. This isn't possible.
Stop lying to uploaders that waste time, bandwidth and space (yeah, they are a waste of space). Tell them what you think. Tell them to stop uploading "Finding Nemo" when you thought you were downloading "Braveheart". Tell them to stop.
Be honest in your comments.
I don't think that this will make any difference, but I needed to get it off my chest.

I always give honest feedback on the quality of the things I have downloaded and I think I have only ever been unlucky enough to actually download something that was not what it purported to be on one occasion (insisted I needed to download a codec to play)
I do tend to mainly stick to torrents that already have some feedback and it has been my experience so far, that users here who leave feedback are pretty reliable.

sundox19762 has a few tutorials on how to spoke fakes, like this one The others are stickied...Spotting and reporting fakes is doing a great service to all of us at KAT :)~

I'm sorry your evil side is having a problem with fakes. I as well, have never downloaded a fake from KAT website. Some torrents might be slow but I understand that it takes seeders to make peers happy. I hope you reported the fakes and just be more cautious. Things will get better for those who believe.smile

its a small price to pay for freedom i think.......fakes are there just to mess with the system. They are easy enough to spot so I don't care. If one see's them then flag them as fake.
If the P2P communities had the power to remove anything regarded as no good then we would be no different than the CR holders that want to ban everything.
Censorship is bad regardless of which side of the fence we find ourselves.
Morality is the only rule......something really bad is removed real fast.

well while reporting im cautious...it is a huge responsibility,which i would not go in vain...infact i also PM torrent watchers with why i think it is fake..and a good reason to report it always helps you.

I like to watch for early releases & it is very annoying when some little gimp thinks it's funny to upload a load of crap hidden under top title. I always report them & KAT takes 'em down.
So if you're the gimp I'm taking about DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR OURS.
We WILL destroy your upload.

I've been downloading for a few years and have never encountered one on here or anyother site..??, although I know how to spot fakes and have a great antivirus program
