Do You Have Your Own Remote Control ?

I am not old enough or i am not pretty much very experienced about all the matters of Life

but I've learned few things in my Life.. Let me share it with you all

as i love to observe things and behaviors of people, i found very strange actions of people.

If someone says something bad about then, they will feel bad.. they will cry .. or they will become emotional ...

If someone says good about them they will feel good .. they will take pride.. they wil dance in happiness.. they will though party for getting praised .... they won't think its was true honor or just was said to make them happy... they wont think 'bout it ..

we can see lot of communities of EMO people on various social sites ... if you'll look or observe quite well you'll find these kind of people around you... are they insane ? No, I dont think so .. are they very excited about them self ? No, but the biggest question is Have they given their Remote control to others ? ?

Why ?

think about it ...

these people feel when somebody says few things about them .. why do they do this ?

think again !

just because they've given their remote control in others hands .. because they are Afraid of what people will think about each and everything done by them .. they judge themselves on others parameters but not on their own parameters...

So Please Don't feel good when somebody praise you, and Don't feel bad when somebody says something bad about you ...because there would be something which you dont know ....

Because

We Don't have put the key to

our happiness in someone else's pocket -

We have keep it in our own...

True compliments and valid criticisms can help us grow and shape ourselves for the better. But the story is correct in not allowing others to control us.

As others have pointed out, it like everything else is about balance. We should not give others the power to really hurt us but we should definitely take notice of what others say and think. If everyone tells you that you are an ass then it probably does mean you are an ass and need to change your attitude. The opposite is also true, if people compliment you then you are probably doing something right and you should keep doing it. Nobody lives in a void, and so the opinions of others do count.

it all comes down to the care factor, i personally dont give a rats ass what people have to say about me, as long as im happy with the things i do and say then who cares...

I think there is balance to everything. As SirSeedsAlot points out, true compliments and valid criticisms can help us grow and shape ourselves for the better. By contrast, pointless and unending compliments without the occasional criticism can make a person become pretentious, self-righteous and very full of themselves, while too many criticisms with no uplifting compliments can destroy a person's self-respect, their self-image, and can cause deep psychological harm.
Of course, going onto the internet will most likely garner you the majority of one form of attention or another, depending on the site you choose. As such, if you have thin skin, stay away from /b/. If you need an uplifting word, come to KAT.
