Another question of mine:

"Have you ever visited or seen an elementary school in a slum? How does it look like?"

:) True. Since the topic was about an ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, I wanted to share my opinion. Housing aside, what about basic amenities like clean water? In India, my home country, ppl have to walk 10-20 miles, just to get a pot of water. There are far too many things missing in this world for the needy.

One thing, I would say a fact, is that the children who go to elementary schools in slum just go for the sake of Midday Meal (a program by Indian Government to provide midday meal to kids in government schools, not private institutions). They don't go to study.

Thts one way to prevent school drop outs. At least that way, parents will feel that they dont have to spend money on education as well as one meal per day. Literacy can change everything in india. Trouble is, no one wants that to happen.

He is at least trying. His team is trying to enlighten the common man about the corruption thats going on. Ppl dont care guys.. Period. They want a gandhi ruling the country, because one MK Gandhi got independence. Thats where they are struck because, they dont go beyond 3rd class or 4th class in schools. And their political science stops there.
The lessons about govt, constitution are from 7th -10th. And most of them dont go that far. They dont realise that.

Monsoon brings uncontrollable floods !! Everything is a disaster because there are no plans to divert that water. With one day rain, roads in Hyderabad get flooded. Traffic is jammed and all hell breaks loose. And if we go to rural areas, its even worse. Villages cut off from the outside world for days...
