I thought this might be an interesting thread for some of us.
It is for me because I have have had many dealings with hauntings. My grandfather used to visit on a regular basis. One of our dogs could be heard walking around the house long after it had died. We had 'something' in our spare room (which is WHY it was the spare room - noone liked going in there!!)
There are others, but the one I liked the most was the spirit of a little girl.

My mum called it Nancy, I don't know why. We lived at 5 Strawson Rd in Northfield and this ghost would open my door (which was always ajar to let some light in from the kitchen) as though she was checking in on me, then the door would gently move back to it's original position. When we'd go out, all the dishes and cutlery were often moved around in the kitchen or ornaments would be sitting in the middle of the loungeroom floor. I never heard it but mum used to hear a little girl laughing around the house. And the weirdest thing was the skylight cord hanging from the roof used to slowly move to a 45 degree angle and mum used to be able to tell 'Nancy' to leave it alone and it would drop back perpendicular to the floor again. When we moved from 5 to 13 in the same street, she followed us.

Once we moved again, that was that. Eventually the old houses were all knocked down, so I don't know what happened to Nancy. I just hope she's happy wherever she is now...

It's been awhile since I checked on this thread, and many more stories added that I hadn't read, so I decided to take another look. And of course I found somebody's comment that I simply had to reply to. I watched one of those Ghosthunter shows last night. It was the one where they managed to capture a full body apparition on film, and had the film tested to prove it was not tampered with. They caught another "cloudy dark presence in an upstairs hallway at the haunted hotel they were visiting also, and filmed bricks & wood being picked up and thrown, in the basement. Whole thing pretty scarey. The brick & wood were thrown in a closed basement, no windows open, nothing they could blame for it happening. Scared them pretty bad too. Sure got my attention!

If she is repeatedly yelling at you, do you remember what she is saying? Maybe she wants badly to tell you something? Or maybe she just wanted you to acknowledge that she's there?
