Avast Internet Security - Warning

I downloaded a copy of avast a few months back, everything working fine.
Today I started getting a pop up telling me that I am using an illegal copy of avast, and that it will be shut down, it also asks for a valid licence.

When I open Avast, everything is "on" and the licence expiry is not till 2013?
Should I be concerned?

Edit: I unsolved the thread so it will stay open for other users as it seems that Avast are doing a spring clean on their licences and identifying all of the shall we say "less legitimate" ones.....

Since we're all talking about antivirus, My avast will soon expire based on the pop up message i have been receiving. BlueLady2283 can you suggest or better yet share a free antivirus please? Buying would be my last resort since it's too expensive. Hoping to hear from all of my co members here in KAT. Thank you!!

I have received the same warning from avast today :( it was working just fine.

did you have a cracked copy or a legit version?

I just switched out from Avast to MSE after reading this thread, makes a world of difference in system performance. Thanks again, BL!
