I would guess 1970's-mid 80's. I was about 8 or nine when I remember discovering it. Probably rock. That's what my dad listened to.
I do remember the swamp being full of stumps? kinda like a nightmarish version of something out of Dr. Seuss.

Iron Maiden have had some fantastic covers.
