Ripping movies24 April 2012, 22:34 (1 year ago)
I am having a hard time with some newer movies. Couldn't get MI4: Ghost Protcool or The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo to rip. I have seen them available on here for download, and in fact, that's how I have my copy of MI4. I use DVDFab 8, but even that is inconsistent. Both laptops will typically have issues, and only one of the DVD drives in my wifes' computer is good to get past it, usually. Today...no such luck. What are you guys using to rip? And, what might my problem be?
One is a Compaq CQ60-417DX. Has a Pentium Dual Core @ 2.16GHz/ea, 4GB RAM, 160GB HDD, and the standard integrated Intel graphics. The other is a Toshiba Satellite with a Celeron @ 2.2GHz, 2GB RAM, 250GB HDD, and standard integrated Intel graphics. The Compaq has a Hitachi DVD/CD burner, and I believe the Toshiba is the same.
is your DVDFab the most current release? Some of the newer dvds have a new built-in encryption and the newest update to DVDFab has fixed this, I had to update mine recently and I was encountering the same problem as you

![]() Not as good as DVDfab but not bad or you could uninstall DVDfab with revo and install it again. If its the latest blu rays,DVDfab should do them or AnyDVD HD but DVD43 and WinX DVD Ripper Platinum will not . Last edited by thetazzzz4950, 1 year ago I second the reply that mentioned AnyDVD- I have used it for years in dvd 'backing up' and when I read your post I was also thinking could be an encryption issue
have seen alot of ppl mention the DVDFab- I have never used that but think it has a decryptor. If you don't have a decryptor could be most likely causing the problems.... |
