Hi everyone,

Is there a better way to ensure anonimity with downloading and seeding? I still on occassion get an email from my ISP saying I am in copyright violation for downloading something. I am using BT Guard, but my comfort level is dropping fast.

I am in the US and do not want to risk downloading or seeding becasue of this. If someone can recommend a more secure method, i would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

You should try looking into a seedbox...basically it's a computer you pay for to download your torrents for you, then you download the whole file from it. I'm fairly new to seedboxes, so if anyone else would like to elaborate I would be grateful!

This explains seedboxes pretty well..but even those aren't 100% secure

Also from the UK, use peerblock (formerly Peer Guardian / PG2) been torrenting for almost 8 years now and never had a copyright letter from the ISP......

i use blackvpn set to either Russia or the Netherlands for all my net use and ive never had problems. It means that even though im in the uk, it looks like im not. Using a US vpn wont even let me download torrents now.

this is an oft asked and answered question. if you look on the Community page, you will see a Community Search bar into which you can type searchwords and will be rewarded with lots of posts/threads related to your problem.
in fact, there is an entire section devoted to Copyright Issues with many, many answers. smile
