If a specific torrent is removed due to copyright then shouldn't the same torrent be removed from other torrent sites as well. If the copyright owners tracked the file here then I am sure they searched all over the net for the file in question. I find it strange that the torrent is removed from kat but still available on other torrent sites,, could it be that someone is reporting such torrents?? I think we all need to be aware that the KAT website is on the "watch list" by the US movie and music industry, and the US Government. We are one of the 3 most prominent torrent websites in the world. I'm not surprised they are pouncing on us first chance (and probably now "every chance") they get! I'm sure they are pouncing on some other websites as well. But they will attack us here first! KAT does it to stay off of MPAA and other organizations hit list - Ask ThePirateBay how not removing has fared for them p.s. The Bay is cool but they attract every government on their butt If a specific torrent is removed due to copyright then shouldn't the same torrent be removed from other torrent sites as well. (Sorry to say) ![]() ![]() By removing KAT stays off major radars and not having a private tracker helps - Also KAT hosts nothing as far as I know so that keeps us somewhat safe - For Now Yes it means that the copyright owner (ie. the production company or the record label) have submitted a DMCA request for the torrent to be removed. It happens on a daily basis and there is nothing you can do to stop it other than uploading non copyright protected material. Perfectly well within their rights to file a DMCA against a specific torrent. Of course KAT will comply. When that happens, you just gotta roll with the punches. |
