Just a word......or two in Community >

Okay,i have a couple of thing`s i want to mention, so bear with me.
Firstly, i have noticed a lot recently, that some people are complaining about remarks.comments issued to threads. They think that some comments offered to threads are either too rude, makes them feel uncomfortable, or are simply are too risque for this site. To all those who feel like that, can i just say, that Kat is an ever growing site, and the family just keeps getting bigger. Now, you can`t expect that all people are the same, which thank heaven, Kat isn`t made up like that. You are always going to get people making comments on every thread, wether that be mild, medium or raunchy ( for the lack of a better word). If Kat staff ever feel that such a comment on a thread is going to cause upset for some, they will, as always, ask for the comment to be changed, or they will simply delete it. I myself, on some threads, have made comments that are not like me, but as i emerge from my shell, my comments get daring. Again, if Kat feels that a comment is inappropriate, they will deal with it accordingly. So please, to all of you who reads a thread, and are in some way offended, please don`t make a thread complaining about it, all lit is, is the Kat community putting a bit of humour into a thread, and at the very least, just simply trying to make us laugh/smile. Secondly, just a word to all the uploaders. What you provide for people like me, are always appreciated. Wether it is something new, or something that has already been added, the work you do, is outstanding. You all deserve more credit than you get, so to all of those who download, please just add a word of "thank you" in the torrent comment section, and of course, please seed. Just a final note, the first topic is NOT directed at any of the people who sent me messages regarding a comment i made. Thanks to Kat staff, that matter HAS been resolved, and was put away a long time ago. You make a great point. I would like to expand on your first point though a bit.
I've noticed throughout my years as a mod on many forums ranging from gaming to tech forums that users generally tend to chose a side. Some are trolls, some are helpful, some are humorous, some are simply idiots looking for attention. I have nothing against any of these people since most of the raunchy (I like that word) comments are funny if a little rude. I also think that the internet is a great place for people to vent their emotions. If you find yourself in a situation IRL where things end up bad and you're mad you will want to vent somewhere anonymously. Thus creating trolling and angry comments from people you might not expect to have such behavior. I've had a few comments like that myself especially on my North Korea thread. I lost it once and I held back on the cuss words as much as I could. A mod saw the post and warned me, I respectfully apologized to the user I insulted even though he provoked me and continues to. The fact that KAT is such a diverse community is mind blowing by any standards. It's impossible to keep everybody happy. I'm an atheist who does not believe in any governmental entity and hates the concept of money and possessions. You might predict how my world view will affect most of my comments. I try to keep an open mind while posting on any thread and try to think of everybody's mindset but I can't, nobody can on a community so diverse. As a final thought: I hope all who blocked somebody over something they personally found offensive think for a minute about WHO they blocked, not WHAT they blocked. Also try to communicate more in case you found a post or comment to be offensive or directly conflicting with your world view as communication is the key to progress. That is all. ![]() Last edited by RyPeR1570, 7 months ago One thing I have noticed is that not all the moderators/super users here are necessarily out for the KAT community's best interests. There are a lot of people exactly like what you've described lurking here. It seems like many times whenever someone has a particularly 'controversial' opinion, it gets moderated whether it follows site/thread rules or not (it's happened to me several times). Psssssst. . .that's called fascism.
As far us uploaders, I'll rate the content based on the quality of it, but thanks are reserved for the people who actually created the content, not the couriers who brought it here. Let's face it, uploads are more of a fame game nowadays than anything else. That's why we get 20 torrents for every single piece of content out there (I'm not talking about the varied resolution/file sizes either). If you haven't seen it, check out a series called 'The Scene' (couldn't find it after a quick search here. It'll break it down for you. If my upload speed weren't so terrible, Id upload it myself. Good thread. Last edited by Mertado3191, 11 months ago I think the uploaders all deserve a thanks or this would be a Kickass chat site not KickassTorrents. You should try upload Mertado its not all glory for some but a good deed as i see it.Im not trying to put you down either you do make some good points and it great to see all participate in these threads.
