As an avid Horror genre fan I just recently started to also get into Sci-Fi. However, I could use some recommendations on Films I should watch. I'm looking mainly for Sci-Fi/Horrors but any good action packed Sci-Fi will do.

All the Alien/Predator/AVP films
Event Horizon
Pandorum

Here are the regular Sci-Fi films I have:

The original and prequel Star Wars Trilogies

ONE LAST THING: No plain Horror films. Already seen 98% of those. Looking for good Sci-Fi/Horror mix or plain Sci-Fi that is awesome.

The best I have seen is the original Alien. The surprises were timed just right to get you when you didn't expect.

You were clear, just complementing your good judgement. BTW. When I was very young my father took me to see the original The Thing from... with James Arness. Scared the heck out of me.

Hmm, I've got that one and didn't think it was a Sci-Fi/horror. I guess maybe if you factor in the viral factor but really it never goes much into it.

Try 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre'. The original is from 1974, there's also a remake from 2003.
I like both. Loads of gore hehehehe xD
