 I am F*CKIN' furious!!
Under the bloody useless government in my country, we are about to get the 'wonderful' carbon (SCAM) tax on July 1st!! No carbon tax under the government she leads, my arse!! I'm so glad that while I'm sleeping my electric hot water will cost more to run. When I turn on my light to get up in the morning, it'll cost more. My kettle boiling my water for my coffee....MORE Going to the rubbish tip...MORE In fact, my electricity bill will go up EIGHTEEN PERCENT.....OVERNIGHT!!! Thankyou so much, you F*CKING RANGA!!! Christ!! I haven't even had a shower yet. Guess what? That's gunna cost me more... My milk, sugar and even VEGEMITE will all cost more!! F*ck, I better start skipping breakfast!! A trip to a shopping centre will also cost me more. The major retailers have included a carbon tax clause into their leasing contracts so the cost is passed through!!! I think I'll go on a holiday and just chill the f*ck out...OH MY GOD!!! That's gunna cost me too. Thanks for adding a carbon tax to my plane ticket!!! AARRGGGHH!!! According to one sorce, it's going to cost us Aussies 36 BILLION over the first 4 years. And they said it will be priced at $23 a tonne TO BEGIN WITH. Meaning: IT IS GOING TO GO UP AGAIN STILL!!! Did I mention that I was furious? More like SAVAGE BLOOD LUST!! I'm so mad I wanna just smash everything I can get my hands on!! I'm so sick of being used and ripped off by the government!!! These arseholes are turning this once great land into a third world country. Some people are already doing it tough, like the low income earners and old age pensioners. Oh, but we are 'promised' to get $10 a week extra to help us out. Fat rat's arse!! I'll believe it when I see it. Sorry KATers, but I had to get this off my chest....  I couldn't agree with you more bodybuildaussie1511 , the carbon tax is an absolute joke and will drive the ALP into the wilderness yet again at the next election. I suspect the libs will dismantle the whole thing when they get in.I also have little faith in the government being able to prevent businesses from jacking up their prices with the threat of heavy fines. I'm sure if a business wants to jack up their prices they can use plenty of excuses instead of the carbon tax (high Aussie dollar,cyclone,floods etc) and we just have to wear it.

great rant. why tax citizens for carbon emissions in your part of the world when it`s the economies of china and america that are causing most of the problem now. they are the ones that stand to benefit most they will profit as they have least regulation. no shock there. our parents and grandparents caused this mess in the first place so i`m not bothered my kid can deal with it polar bears and penguins have always been overrated anyway. :P
LOL!! A polar bear will kill you if given half a chance and whilst penguins are cute they're a bit chewy from what I've been told.
Australia is considered per capita to be a heavy polluter however our population is smaller than a medium sized Chinese city (@ 21 million)and our contribution to world Co 2 levels is unbelievably tiny. This carbon tax and the possible reductions it might bring will make not the slightest bit of difference when the U.S , China, Russia and up and coming India fail to regulate.  asbooo ... you just leave my polar bears alone. If it weren`t for them, Canada would be overrun by those pesky, smellin` ice snakes. The Carbon tax is just the latest "CashCow" revenue scam, politicians made up.!!. We have it here, and just like you BB, everything went up 20% across the board. AND don`t ever believe anyone who say`s they will get rid of a tax income, if they get into power ... I could go on, but, that would be impolite. sorry for the rant.
  WOW... well I am sure we'll be having similar taxes here in the USA in no time! Carbon soot in the air is a big issue these days. But we're also experiencing sky rocketing fuel/electricity/gas costs here. I live in a small house in a desert. I don't turn my air conditioner on at all (I suffer - open windows, pray for rain). I don't turn my heater on in the winter (can't afford the cost) until mid-January for a month, and use it as little as possible
My electricity and gas costs have doubled this year - over $100 a month and I'm not doing anything but using my computer and one lamp in the evening. Cooking on the stove once a day. Washing laundry once a week. You are not alone in this suffering. We're all dealing with it. There's a reckoning coming! asbooo ... you just leave my polar bears alone. If it weren`t for them, Canada would be overrun by those pesky, smellin` ice snakes. meh... we have`nt had polar bears in the UK for 100,000 years i`m not fussed... you have em! we`ve got badgers with tuberculosis. much kewler...  The damn badgers run all the Polars outa England. Tough little beggers, I came face - to - face with one, once in the mountains. We had a little talk and I decided it would be best If I let the badger pass me, on the trail.!!. Very majestic animal. They have been known to take on a grizzly bear, while it was feeding on a kill; Now that takes BALLS .!!!. PS - badgers are smarter than politicians.  |
