At a Theater in Aurora, Colorado there are reports of a mass shooting during the midnight premiere of the Batman film "The Dark Knight Rises". Reports so far say 14 are confirmed dead and up to 20 injured.
What is the USA coming to? Why is our Country so violent? What will be next, metal detectors at movie theaters? I am seriously angry about this. You can't feel safe anywhere anymore. Anyone else have thoughts on this? 160 replies before
Do you all understand that the reason the US const and bill of rights gave the citizens the right to bear arms? It was to allow them to protect themselves from the government! When Hitler began grabbing power in Germany one of the first things he did was convince the German citizens to give up their guns, look where that got them in the next several years. What a peaceful place that turned out to be. Hmmm artl1734
Wild west now way at that time the us did not go past Pennsylvania. The wild west was created very much later. Defending against the gov has nothing to do with Wild West.
Stated it earlier in the thread, but I'm sorry the government has nuclear bombs, unmanned drones with hellfire missiles, smart bombs, F22 Raptors, Apache helicopter gunships. What chance do some civilians with guns stand against that?
Thought my home country was worse than that :O Last edited by VintageTorrie4957, 10 months ago cesmadj1934
And the police is just for show! Take the law in your hands!!!
I guess crazed mobs with guns running around shooting at suspected terrorists is what you want! Nice attitude... ^^^THIS IS YOUR AMERICA GUYS^^^ ![]() You're polarizing people. I'm not gonna argue because let's admit it, there is no way in hell you'd change your position anyway. Your answer for an isolated incident is something extreme. You imply that people who are not on your side of the argument are irrational. You cite European countries with gun bans and yet there are still ISOLATED events where people kill other people with guns.

Was it the Indians they needed the guns for? Because I am not buying on the statement - the government sanctions guns against itself.
