3D - So Many yet So Few21 July 2012, 08:10 (10 months ago)
There are already so many and there are more and more 3D movies in Cinemas / Movie Theatres
yet it seems there are so few that make it to 3D-Blu-Ray but instead appears only on reguler Blu-Ray or DVD Prices are now falling on 3D TVs but the cost is still very high when there is so little that you can get to watch in 3D Why are there so few 3D-Blu-Ray movies I wonder if it might have anything to do with service providers such as Sky TV as it would not suprise me if they want less 3D-Blu-Ray movies so people need to pay for a 3D subscription service I hope there will soon be more 3d-Blu-Ray movies and hope that more torrents will be available for them soon too Many thanks to those that have made the limited number of current 3D torrents I don't really see what all this fuss about 3D is about. They tried it in the 50s, again in the 70s and the 90s. It has come and it has gone.
Although, admittedly, the technology has come a long way cince then, I hope the same happens this time. Watching films in 3D gives me a bloody splitting headache. Agree ...... 3D is a waste of time, wearing glasses, spent the early years refusing to wear them, wear contacts now. Waiting for the hologram projector so that I can sit in the midddle of the movie and really feel part of it. What say you Capt Kirk? RonthePirate158807
It's probably the same with all new products. I remember when they first came out with cassette tapes. The supply was so limited, there were only a handful of artists represented.
The same with CD's and DVD's. I t just takes awhile to catch on, they can't make enough soon enough. Never mind the compact cassette tape Ron surely you must remember the 8 tracks that proceeded them & the good old reel to reel tape decks before that.
Or am I just very old & wrinkly? ![]() The 3D of today is, as far as I know, way different than the old days. Glasses are higher quality and produce a better image. Go to a good 3D movie and it will appear as though the characters are literally in front of you. Trust me, this isn't the horrid anaglyph 3D [red/blue] of the old days, folks.
I don't miss 2D one bit. I watch movies at the theater exclusively in RealD 3D. It uses plastic polarized glasses. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polarized_3D_system Not every 3D system is the same and neither is every theater. Some theaters are set up better than others for a better experience. Angle of seating can sometimes alter what you see. Experiment and have fun! Besides, 3D is evolving and it won't be long and I expect most households will have 3D television and computers. The main issue right now is price as 3D computers/TV's cost more. Watching films in 3D gives me a bloody splitting headache. Interesting. Do you experience nausea and or headaches while playing 2D video games or watching 2D movies with shakey camerawork? It seems to me that you are in the minority. Have you tried taking dramamine to prevent the headaches?Last edited by Irving_Gekko691, 9 months ago |
