Why do my comments keep getting deleted??

This is a very common question that many people ask us and now I'm going to tell you why we delete (seemingly) good comments.

If comments are spam then we delete them. Some examples of spam comments are...

-"SEED...SEED...SEEED!!"
-"Boring movie"
-"Is this real?"
etc...ect..

When people are looking through the comment section of a torrent, they want to know if it's fake or not and the quality of the torrent.
There's nothing wrong with saying you like the movie but you need to let ppl know the quality of the torrent also.

We also get rid of comments that are "fake comments" meaning, if you didn't download the movie and you are making a false comment on it, then chances are that not only will we delete your comments but you may get banned also.

We will also delete comments that have to do with religion, racial slurs, ppl starting fights, cussing or giving away the ending of a movie.

We as mods do not get rid of your comments if they are informative and stick to the subject. We don't get rid of comments because we hold a grudge and we certainly do not get rid of comments bc it says the torrent is of poor quality.

We here at kat believe in ppl having their own opinions and being able to express them in a respectful manner.

There has also been some questions about the way us mods comment on certain torrents. There are some comments that only say  "ok...".
This is not us spamming, it's actually  us telling the other mods that the person in that xxx torrent is over 18 years old. It's kind of our "secret language" lol.

When your comments fall into these categories and we delete them, the worse thing you can do is retaliate and start negative repping the mod that deleted your comments.
If you feel that your comments are unjustly being deleted then just pm one of us, we're all pretty nice!

I had some of my comments deleted as well. I was the original uploader, and I made the comment 'Looks good on my end...' on each of my torrents. Unfortunately, I hadn't read the rules of the site fully before posting those comments.
A different comment of mine was deleted, though I am not fully sure why. It was a comment that was in response to a comment on torrent. The user mentioned that because of a Wikipedia article, a few episodes of my torrent may be missing. I responded with my findings, and they were deleted. Could this be related to my first comments some how?
Thanks! :)

well, that's a tough one but it's probably bc it wasn't focusing on the actual quality of the torrent......idk though.
here's yr comment, maybe it would be best in the description part.
.
It's tough to find good information on this show. It looks like Wikipedia lumped the last few episodes of Season 09 into Season 10. I've been using A & E's First 48 website as my source of information (http://www.aetv.com/the_first_48/episodes/). I soon discovered that even this site is incomplete (the 'Bait & Switch' update special is missing from the A & E Season 10 listing), so I began using an additional air dates guide for the missing information (http://epguides.com/First48/). I'd love to know the correct order & episode numbers, as I suspect that no one site has everything 100% correct.

Fair enough... I wanted to keep the description as clean as possible. As you can see from my comment, info on that show can be murky sometimes, so I guess I just got a little defensive. No worries though, this site is great! Thanks for the info hunniboo...

OK seems perfectly acceptable
it doest say a lot it's just short and to the point
and rather than ramble on about the poor quality of a torrent then I guess
Not OK is just as short and to the point

I dont care about rep points , I try to help people as much as possible and for the most part my comments are informative, and sometimes just having fun,..but in the past a couple of my comments were removed even though all criteria were met. Most recently my comment on the Raven, it was a obvious cam rip, even though the uploader stated it was DVD, which I found out after downloading, and watching the first few minutes of the movie. Not only was my comment removed, but it was replaced by the second comment I made once again informing people it wasnt a DVD rip and was a cam. The comment that I originally posted was removed not only from the comment section for the torrent but also in my comment profile history. Not to mention it was reported, which I assume I was being reported for being so steadfast in letting other members know it was not a DVD rip xD, so they wouldnt waste their time. I try to follow the rules of KAT, I think the mods should too.

was wondering if all reported comments and/or posts are automatically deleted by the mods?
