 ATTENTION ALL MEMBERS Ok guys, not all events have been imported yet. So there is no reputation for uploading torrent and adding comments. Please, calm down, it will all be back tomorrow. This had happened when combining certain things to back of house and has affected the reputation the wizards are trying to get everything back up and running and fixed ASAP. This has all been made worse than it ever needed to be because some people have not taken the anger of users on the site seriously and others have openly revelled in the unhappiness of people here. To take pleasure in the unhappiness of others on this site is not even remotely in keeping with the spirit that we are all so proud exists in this community and that that would be considered acceptable behaviour here is I think of far more concern than the loss of rep itself. We specifically have it written into the rules here that flaming of others is not allowed (The Don’ts Rules, Rule 2) but apparently openly ridiculing people or inciting further unrest in the community by stating that you think this is all funny is perfectly fine. You only have to look at Mr.Whites last blog to see the strength of feeling here, 228 comments! I have never ever seen that kind of criticism in one of his update blogs before and I bet no one else has either. Usually his blogs are full of nothing but people offering congratulations and praise for the site but this blog is a bit different. I have seen Mods and Staff try to make comments in that blog and some of them have been openly argued with by users, that just does not happen and it is an indication of just how many people are upset by this. For all those who think an issue is not important and should not be taken seriously I have some rather bad news for you, you don’t get to decide what people care about. We should be trying to calm people down here and not throw oil on the fire. I tried just a few comments back to try to say something to calm people down but right now I am wondering why I even bothered to be honest. So so true... Rating torrents helps the website divide good from bad torrents and in return our efforts go to waste? I don't think so, Kat has millions of users coming in and out everyday, No update should be made without consulting the community first, Regardless of who owns the website We are all apart of it and rep points keep things interesting for that to be lost with no logical explanation is rediculous.
I lost rep points in the past but that had good reason and it took me months to get my 1000 points back, I won't be wasting another year trying to up my points, and yes it does mean that much to me. I try and do rate most torrents honestly and accurately with testing torrents for flaws/sync issues, viruses, If you ask me we all do the job of a torrent moderator, So please don't sit around and make it seem like the users who are angry have no right to be angry. because that is hardly the case here. Agreed... though I'm happy to be a part of KAT either way. But yes the points that took years to accumulate, which are mostly gone now, are a huge part of keeping KAT that much better than other torrent sites and also it really does keep things interesting as you said. I sure hope someone finds the cache folder from all previous reputation points   Please let this thread die its long awaited death

  I'm not sure if anyone else is having the same happenings, but I wanted to report to everyone that I've watched my rep rise by about 500 points today, 100 point at a time jumps. For those of you that are upset by the situation at hand I believe the wizards are getting close to solving the conundrum, not that I'm privy to any official word.
