 ok guys ive come up with a list anyone wanna have a say on what to keep or what to dump?

haven't used them much, i stick to adult fiction, but you might find it handy.  I dont know exactly what the demonoid categories were but they worked just fine for me :) i liked just clicking a genre and browsing to seeif there was anything interesting around.
I remember, Fantasy, Paranormal, Romance, other then that im drawing a blank, i do think you should not start deviding into subcategories ppl will just get confused then as to where to upload. well just my 2 cents :)  I think Anthologies should go, 'cause most of the times an anthology already belongs to a genre (erotica, romance, horror, etc).
I also think it's necessary to have a Gay & Lesbian category, because as a Demonoid refugee and lesbian fic uploader I remember people complainig about that in Demonoid, even when most of the uploaders where adding F/F and M/M to those books. Those comments always amounts to homofobic and that just piss me of. Categories like Horror, Occult and similars could be put in one category, like Paranormal. Epic, Contemporary, Historical doesn't look necessary either, put it all in Romance. And this? Sexually Orientated? That's not necessary either, already have Erotica. Many of those Non-Fiction categories could be combined. Education could include Foreign Language Study, Mathematics, Literary Criticism, Philosophy, etc. You could have a category call Art and put in there Art, Architecture, Performing Arts & Drama, Photography, etc. I hope I make myself clear because english it's not may native language.  robbiepier691940

Gay & Lesbian works fine, Sexually Orientated it's kind of confusing, the name looks like a non-fiction category ok I'll bite, but Occult and Horror are fiction and non fiction can't lump them up into one section two completely different tags. Well Occult and Horror appears in the fiction section, so that's why I put them togheter. The name Occult it's confusing. In Demonoid most of the categories and the lack of some, were solved by the uploders by adding things like BDSM, M/M, F/F, etc.  As a complete addicted reader of mm books i must agree to other members sugestions, especially Jackylyon's, to have a separate category under LGBTQ Romance, if it's possible to subdivide (MM, MMF, FFM, YA, BDSM), at least that way it would make searching easier. I have been identifying torrents as MM Gay, but such division would make that unnecessary
 . Oh and by the way, i miss demonoid but I'm loving KAT On the site where i am hanging out now since demonoid died they ahve this.
First you pick ebooks or audio. Then you pick whch categories: Action/Adventure Art Biographical Business Computer/Internet Crafts Crime/Thriller Fantasy Food General Fiction General Non Fiction Historical Fiction and so on I love the True Crime genre. It contains only non fiction books. |
