Banned and Blocked Trackers in Community >
Fake Torrents
11 October 2011, 04:04 (1 year ago)
I recently had a tracker blocked. I as well as many others use it. It's listed at Trackon. org. I was under the false belief that they were a trusted source of tracker information.
Rather than having this sudden surprise. It would be great if KAT could post the known fake trackers. Especially those which may be associated with RIAA/MPAA. Perhaps KAT's wizards could also share the tools they're using with us to detect this issue, as there is no current internet info on bad trackers. 10 replies before
Wow, it was quite some time ago I made this thread. I've since focused my efforts toward sharing good trackers for uploaders to use, check here: https://kat.ph/community/show/7136/?unread=9484473
~ Regarding malicious trackers, I recommended setting up an ip filter in your client. Available here: http://blocklistpro.com/ ~ To good_dokie39 and all, EZTV and ETTV are common targets for fakers who copy their name in the title of the torrent. Mods usually catch these pretty quickly, but to protect you, look for the "crown" icon. The original eztv and ettv always have that symbol. It's your assurance of a verified torrent. And should you ever d'load a torrent that re-directs you to a 3rd party for a password or codec, click the report button on the d'load page of the torrent. DO NOT follow the links! Your Mod team will take appropriate actions. Hope this helps. Cheers everyone :) ~ p.s. Thanks to BlueLady2283 for the list of known bad trackers. Last edited by trugger49118, 5 months ago Man... (Can I swear here..? if No, Sorry!)It's not often that you can find a decent list to look out for of these things. Especially for the more "Unspecialized" of us in the crowd! We morons, (I speak only for myself!), don't alwayz know what to look for,OR EVEN that we need to be looking in the first place! ***Its ALWAYS Good Practice To Know ALL You Can About Security Issues On The Internet! After all, so many of us take it for granted that our AV s/ware will "Fix It" or that the Trojan that our AV has just flagged is probably a 'False Positive' because we really, REALLY want that file we just d/loaded! ![]() Thanx again Dudes/Dudettes!!!! ![]() Here's a list of trackers to avoid :- distan.servecounterstrike.com freevideo.no-ip.info zorba.zapto.org fuf.zapto.org tzar.servecounterstrike.com whypay.servebeer.com m0vies.servep2p.com matha.sytes.net tracker.workisboring.com Spam site.serveftp.com chech.servequake.com kur.servegame.com nia.servehttp.com torrentsource.servemp3.com mpaa.servehttp.com nopay.no-ip.info prince2.bounceme.net startracker.geekgalaxy.com cash.servequake.com gleneagle.damnserver.com zesty.no-ip.info 206.81.133.67 coolserver.servecounterstrike.com mpaa.servehttp.com tracker101.no-ip.info q1.sytes.net matha.sytes.net mishmish.servemp3.com waikiki.net-freaks.com only-guiness.servebeer.com gruzia.zapto.org isotope.servehalflife.com bilbo.redirectme.net pirate.is-a-geek.net torrentbox.ath.cx torrents.point2this.com tracker-workisboring.com waikiki-freaks.com I'm sure there's more, if so, add them here.. Small update on this thread as it's old....rather that making a list of trackers to avoid, check out aSBo's wall for trackers that are up to date and working.. https://kat.ph/user/aSBo/ He had deleted the thread for awhile....glad it's back up.
I use them to add extra trackers when I'm checking fakes. hello everyone, just a quick question, how many trackers to put in a torrent client to upload something? 8-10 are sufficient! |
