Reading some of these comments, I don't feel that old any more (going on 40) lol
Some other comments, bearing in mind that my eldest daughter is going to be 20 in July, make me feel extremely, well, you know... funk

Pearl Jam - 1995 in Birmingham, AL
Mudhoney opened and was terrible- disharmonic, breaking timing and generally sounding awful. It was my first time seeing Pearl Jam live and I thought they had ruined it- until Eddie stepped onto the stage.
His deep baritone filled the arena and from that point until the last notes of 'Yellow Ledbetter' rang out I was entranced.
What an awesome show.

Pink Floyd at the Olympic Stadium in Montreal on May 22nd 1994 (I used Google to find out the exact date because a Pink Floyd show had to be spiced up with fine herbs......and man I've been generous in the quatities!biggrin) And I was, tks to lady luck, very well seated.....I was waiting in line to get the tickets and all of a sudden, the ticket guy came out of his boot and said that there was only individual places left really high in the stadium......I was buying tickets for my girl at the time, her friend and her brother. I asked a guy in the line up to keep my place and I phoned her to tell her there was only shitty tickets left and all of a sudden I heard people screaming and whistling........There was a 2nd show the next day! I was really close to the ticket guy so I've been able to get excellent places.

I was lucky enough to ge tto see loads of live bands during my stage off time -working the Circus and stageshow circuit ..gotta say it was 'The Stranglers' @ Pentridge [Rock n Blues festival].
..just something about them live -even though they are among my bands i know and can sing along to ..aren't in my top area ..and when i say i've sang in singing circles @ festivals to The Smashing Pumpkins ..its still a surprise for me to choose them. Time and Place and how your mind and rhythms are..
i reckons !! [0range, Yorkshire UK]
