what is the fastest torrent downloader out

I have to say utorrent is great for windodws. However when in linux, depending in the distro and desktop chosen, i prefer/switch between deluge, transmission or ktorrent.

Transmission sucks. I used to use it and even deal with some of its headaches. But I have a T1 line here that I get no connection with on Transmission, but I get 700kbs/upload speed with while using Utorrent for mac. Awesome program and widely supported. Will never consider anything else.

I read all the comments in this thread and thought that I would do a generic test on 3 torrent clients. I used qBittorrent, uTorrent, and Tixati. I downloaded the same movie from the same place for 11 minutes. I only ran one torrent client at a time. Please keep in mind I do understand this a generic test and my ISP speed is not that fast. qBittorrent in 11 minutes had 2.3% (21.8 MB completed)...Utorrent in 11 minutes had 4.2% (36 MB completed) Tixati in 11 minutes 7% (?MB). The ETA was a hour quicker for Tixati than uTorrent..I have been using utorrent for about 4 months and I am by no means out of my noob stage but I thought trying this mediocre test would give me some insight to how these clients perform.

I used to agree with you, 'till I tried uTorrent 1.8.5.
Have never had a problem, never a freeze, anything wrong.
Seems easier to navigate, also.

Hey Ron in your own opinion, do you think your 1.8.5 downloads your torrents any quicker?..I have the new version of uTorrent and it seems like it downloads slower even though I have made adjustments.

Gonna say utorrent. Its lightweight and easy to use!
