recently picked up a bmw with the radio locked out saying i need a code. and i just dont have the money right now for a aftermarket radio, went into the dealer and they tried charging me for it. so just wanted to see if anyone here can help me.
the serial number on the back of the radio is f41012633

I've done some searching,
It seems that only BMW dealers will be able to supply a code for you, and it also seems that there is a charge for this service.

Are there any cards with the code, or any codes written in the handbooks that came with the car?

one thing i remember, when battery run out of juice and changed we had to ask to dealer to provide new code, but i dont remember paying for it.
