 I guess they make his family life so totally boring so we'll 'understand' why Walt would rather be a full blown meth cook-distributor than hang out at the house any more than necessary. I just spin thru the family scenes and get-togethers as much as possible, unless Hank is there, since he might let somethihng drop about the investigation. But the whole thing of 'the family' always sucked to me, Marie and her kleptomania, Hank and his sulking with the rocks, jr and his 'noble' look...I found it useless and wished they done a lot less of it...much rather see Tuco and his Uncle than the whole whitebread in the subarbs scene.
Never was really sure why Walt wanted back in anyway, and now he's back, all he really wants is to get out and be crazy with the boys...I think he's actually happiest when he has to arrange a killing ... and the way things are going with Mike, that does seem next on the agenda...but Mike has a lot to do with making the series work, so I'm hoping it'll be Schuyler and junior who get axed, and then Walt goes out for revenge...that I could handle...   I look at the vote board and think of it as a wish list.
