Hi! I just got a web page warning/threat about the fact that I was illegally in possession of a copy of PCTools and that it would be reported to the company who makes that software (don't remember the name)......So I deinstalled it right away, deleted the download folder from KAT with the Gutmann method (35 pass), and erased all the traces I could find in the registry and I checked for any folders left......So now I'm curious/anxious as to what I should expect next.........
Any idea?

EDIT: They also had my IP number. I know it's easy to get it from anyone......

Edit part 2: It's not Pc Tools, it's PC Boost.......

Some generic rules for softwares;
* Close your internet connection while installing.
* After installation stop automatic updates of application.
* Use firewall to stop internet connection of the software.
