Free Vpn? Worth Trusting?24 September 2012, 17:24 (8 months ago)
I was browsing the web and I stumbled upon this,
http://www.vpnbook.com/ They claim to be a free vpn service that runs off donations. The thing is, its located in europe, and from my understanding the UK is going through some tough piracy issues. They say they do not keep logs, but is it worth trying? I get paranoid when it comes to trusting something with keeping my internet activity safe. Nothing wrong with paranoid when it comes to your privacy...in my experience, nothing comes free, it's either filled with bloatware and stuff you don't need, or there's some other catch to it....my personal opinion, for what it's worth, don't touch it... ![]() Yeah, I kept looking around for a catch, but I couldn't find one.. It sounds to good to be true, so I will leave it be for now .If you're looking for a free VPN just for internet browsing, proXPN has a free version (for torrenting compatibility, you'd need the $6.25/month version) I've used this before and it is legit, although it may slow your speed down a bit. I was on torrentfreak and someone mentioned it in the comments. I have a vpn right now that I have been using for a couple of months now, It works find for me. But thanks anyways, I might look into it if I decide to drop this one .Last edited by iBlue47, 8 months ago Hmm, i have checked them out, i used it for torrents, and honestly its fast for free service, there is no need to be paranoid to be downloading torrents from this vpn because upon looking up the IP its hosted in Romania and not UK, i dont think you need to worry for a long time about copyright from Romania any time soon. just dont use the VPN to login to sensitive sh*t thats all and you got nothing to worry about...
