I know I cant be the only gym freak on kat, So I have a quick question, What are some hardcore bulking up supplements, anything close to roids or whatever?
A friend of mine is taking testosterone and has gotten huge, how effective is this stuff and what is the up/down side of taking it.? 40 replies before
Steroids, never steered me wrong. Ok let's cut to the chase. While corticosteroids are often useful, sometimes necessary clinically....powerful antinflamatories, starting with the basic prednisone.....ALL steroids, anabolics the worst of all....but all of them off the hook dangerous. This is why when clinically necessary they are always given for the shortest duration possible.....and even then, if we mean systemic, someone must be weaned off. slowly. It is also why the also dangerous, but not AS NSAIDs...non steroidal anti inflammatory agents......are used when possible.. All steroids, apart from what we produce ourselves naturally,. are IMMUNOSUPPRESSSANTS. Meaning....they all compromise the immune system. Meaning, they give rise to the onset of all manner of diseases a normal immune system will preclude. NOT UNLIKE HIV. When cortisone was first discovered, I think, during or just after WW2...not positive when....it was touted as the miracle answer to autoimmune disease, i.e. arthritis, etc. most of which have roots in inflammation. Sheep bought in....and the results were HORRIFIC. Patients developed all manner of terrible things over time which could not be reversed. People DIED. Please, guys, do homework and chase those data!!!! Starting with why so many seem to have a Less Than, simplistic concept of STRONG. Or BIG. Then, step AWAYYYY from these poisons! No....do that FIRST. I think of how beautiful many indigenous people are! Lean, fit, flexible, graceful, supple...not one guy is BULKED UP. Such people lead active, natural lives in all arenas....and, I am sure, the guys have normal hormone levels and balance. It ain't BROKE; stop trying to fix it. LOL..He's trying to gain weight, not lose it. The P90x cardio is intense, if you do it, you'll lose weight. Learn to read. Of course cardio is healthy. There's also another program that I found to be much more straight forward, it's pretty much just pure cardio. Not much of the yoga stuff. It's called Insanity, by Beachbody, but I couldn't find a decent link on here at all.
This is the link to the site, I prefer this one over P90x Last edited by Sycknezz928, 1 year ago Doing cardio will not make you lose weight. Goodness....
You will never get that 6 pack if you don't do at least 40 mins cardio!!! Muscle is denser than fat. Therefore, doing cardio as well as the p90x routine will bulk you up, remove fat, and you will still gain weight! As for the supplement. Chocolate milk is the best. I have recently had a bladder cancer operation. During that procedure, they removed my prostate. This has left me very unwanting to do small tasks, like fix leaky pipes, etc.
I thought of taking testorosterone, which I am lacking to want to do these tasks. I have read the recent findings of clinical evaluations on the drugs, and have come to the conclusion that it's better to do without those drugs than with. Just my opinion. Haha. The P90x cardio is intense, if you do it, you'll lose weight. Learn to read. Of course cardio is healthy. I learned to read around Xmas. Last week, was up to cereal boxes. Few mins ago I was able to read Sartre in French. And pass a content test. so I am making progress, yes? I was responding to a post from a bodybuilder saying stay away from cardio. As per below in italics.. Understood, I've never been able to afford a bowflex myself. But they do have cheap versions of them for maybe 200$, you might even be able to find them used in certain sports shops and such. This is a very nice alternative until you can get the money together for a bench or w/e you decide. Try to avoid the cardio parts if you can, but the rest is amazing. THE HEART.....IS A MUSCLE. The most important one we have. Staying away from cardio is never the right thing to do no matter what. Find good balance between cardio and resistance work. And if someone must choose only one....cardio would scientifically always come first. Strikes me that a lot of bodybuilders might well fail stress tests.....because over time, their cardiovascular health has been compromised. Last edited by Divaville397, 1 year ago |
