Hiya everyone,
I'm taking a trip to Europe starting Apr 2nd 2012. I'm starting out in Athens, Greece, then will be traveling to many other countries. Most likely are Italy, France, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Netherlands, England, Scotland, and Ireland. I may even get up to Finland, Norway and Sweden, but gonna have to see how much money I have left at that point. haha. If you wanna hang out, have a beer, lemme know. I'll be doing most of my traveling by EuRail, and will be staying in major cities, but may pass through your town. I'll be doing most of this in 2 months or so, and want to stay in Ireland for awhile after that. I'll be trying to find a place in County Clare, near Doolin and would definitely love to travel and visit while I'm there. SK 230 replies before
I'm still in Dublin, and I feel like I'm wasting time and money if I don't leave the hotel and go see some of the great sights, but I'm T*I*R*E*D*!!!
I just wanna lay down and watch a movie. haha. If I was staying one more day, I wouldn't feel so bad about lazing around today, but I'm out of Dublin in the morning to go to the west coast of Ireland. I'm going to a little place called Lisdoonvarna, which I found out (After I booked the hotel) is the town where they have the Matchmaking Festival every year in September (and yes, even if I stay in Ireland for the next year, I'll SO be gone from Lisdoonvarna LONG before september. lol) I was married once already, and that was about 8 times too many. But for today, I hope no one was REALLY looking forward to photos from Dublin, cause I'm about to take a nap, or something involving not moving for the next couple of hours. lol. More interesting photos Suicide_king and the quality looks very good considering your good camera decided to stop working.
I’m not sure you need a match making festival given the effect you have on barmaids. Don’t feel too bad about taking a nap and missing out on something, you will be able to better appreciate what you see and who you meet if you are well rested and nothing is quite so tiring as travelling. I suspect quite a few KAT members are now getting quite envious of those of us who have had the pleasure of meeting you and are wishing now that they had made contact when they had the opportunity to so they could have joined in the fun as well. Looking forward to more adventures, after you have had a little nap and spent a little time dreaming of Guinness and barmaids. AhrimanThorn12864

Thanx AT, the Iphone takes a pretty decent photo, just doesn't zoom in like my Nikon. As far as the barmaids go, I've found NONE in Dublin, of course that MIGHT be cause I've been lazy bum today. lol. AND I never did get a nap
, but I watched a couple of movies, and rested, and I feel MUCH better now. lol.I really wish more people had contacted me about meeting up, it's been the most fun of anything I've done on this trip. C'est la vie, I suppose. I've actually met some really nice people here, though they've all been guys. haha. Oh well, tomorrow is another day, and hopefully there will be plenty of pretty barmaids in Lisdoonvarna. ![]() ![]() Last edited by Suicide_King58413, 1 year ago Well, I'll give all the bad news at one go, I guess. On my way from Dublin to my little B&B in Lisdoonvarna, I stupidly left my BRAND NEW IPHONE 4S on the train, so no more pics from it, I'm afraid. Fortunately, I'd brought my old Blackberry as a back up, so I'm not completely out of contact with home. But ever more unfortunately, my trip is over. My mom is sick and I have to cut my trip short. Well, I guess I can't really say short, cause 6 weeks is still a pretty damn good vacation, and I saw so many wonderful things, and met many wonderful people, that's it's definitely not a loss.
The countryside in Ireland was awesome, but I didn't get a single photo cause I was worried about family and making my arrangements to get home. I'm back in Dublin now for just the night, then an early flight tomorrow back to the states. I've very much enjoyed hosting this thread, and even more so, the comments and suggestions from those of you who have read it. I'll post again when I get home I'm sure. Sorry to hear the bad news Suicide_King I hope your mother is alright and I hope you have a safe (and straightforward) journey home. We have all thoroughly enjoyed this thread and those of us who have been fortunate enough to meet you have had a blast. If you should ever find yourself in the neighbourhood again, there’ll be a cold one waiting for you.
And where are the photos of the two of you? here - https://kat.ph/community/show/27778/?page=24#9959441 |
