 At a Theater in Aurora, Colorado there are reports of a mass shooting during the midnight premiere of the Batman film "The Dark Knight Rises". Reports so far say 14 are confirmed dead and up to 20 injured.
What is the USA coming to? Why is our Country so violent? What will be next, metal detectors at movie theaters? I am seriously angry about this. You can't feel safe anywhere anymore. Anyone else have thoughts on this? 180 replies before
  WOW, Hitler comes into the game...  Sorry dude go shoot something, a deer or two and exercise your right! The Bill of rights was written at the time of the Wild West. The same Wild West that happened in that theater just now. Go to France, Germany or UK and ask them where nazi gun prohibitive laws took them? I think they would say that 3 to 4 million germans, polish, french, Russian, and other Europeans just sort of disappeared. Some time read the history of Hitler's rise to power in germany. Pretty much everything that he forced onto the people is happening now in the USA. Coincidence? "Rules for Radicals?" Spread the wealth? actually income, haven't heard anything about spreading the Kennedy trust funds around that are mostly out of the country. BTW don't currently own any opperating guns but thinking of buying some for November.  artl1733
Was it the Indians they needed the guns for? Because I am not buying on the statement - the government sanctions guns against itself. Read the documents that the founding fathers wrote at the time they put all of that together. They weren't selling it and did not expect you to buy it. What about that statement don't you agree with? I am not going to debate on the meaning of the Constitution. The point is US leads on the developed world in gun related crimes because of an archaic sentence in some yellow old piece of paper and it’s not the Bible. That amandmant: “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” borrows from earlier English Bill of Rights of 1689. If the Brits, fanatical traditionalists change it, so can you! Get on with the times! USA needs to be progressive in this as it is it is in many other fields!

Gun Laws and regulation WILL NOT WORK. Because criminals don't follow the law. It's not that complicated of a concept to comprehend. If you ban guns in America, the criminals will still be able to get the guns from somewhere else. So now you just have armed criminals and terrorist versus unarmed citizens.
An instant 5 years in the slammer for carrying an unlicenced gun will make a lot of criminals think twice believe me.

Over 60 million people were killed in WWII. Only in Russia about 20 mil.
World conspiracy? And your brand new gun would save you? No don’t buy it, if the World comes to an end a gun will be completely insignificant! BTW, AFAIK In the 1790s, western Pennsylvania was considered the Wild West.  spending time in prison for a gun won't make them think twice it'll make them more prone to not get caught, killing anyone in their way, considering most of them are felons anyway they're not supposed to have guns already and hence will do time for having one anyway
