Hello,Seraphin8080 here. Hopefully, I get this first post right.
I just uploaded my first non-fiction book torrent. I screwed up the description but the file is good. My bad. Still learning.
Notes:
1. This is an OCR'd PDF - not the Compiled HTML file ("CHM") that is floating around. A CHM file is a horrible choice for many reasons.
2. I am just learning this whole process from effective, optimized scans that are OCR'd and of very high quality. Again, still learning the whole process. I will improve over time. I enjoy the KAT community. And, I wanted to contribute back.
3. I am scanning mostly NON-FICTION books that I cannot find elsewhere. You will find many practical titles. For FICTION, my contributions will be my collections of obscure, hard to find comics.
4. Once again, this was an early scan. I've already improved my scanning techniques
PS Can I get some, what is it, seeding (right term)?

I don't use utorrent, but I imagine it goes something like this.
Open your utorrent preferences and under torrents determine what directory you have selected to save torrents in. If you haven't changed it then it will be the default. With vuze the default is c:>users>user name>app data>roaming>azureus>torrents. May or may not be similar for utorrent.

Tips: make a folder in My Documents just for your .torrent files and set this as the default for easy reference.

Rename any files or directories before you create the .torrent so it is easily recognizable when searching for it to upload.
have it it is seeding. cheersbiggrin

Ah! You are not. All good. Didn't realize it shows the person you quoted.... right in the quote! (duhhh) But, very smart place to show where you are quoting someone.

PyTyq-
Pulling down the torrent now. Will let you know how it goes. I just figured out how to insert a link so I'm sharing that info. I hope it helps you.
Right above this text box there's a row of icons

Use the one looking like a little chain link. That'll create a link for you. These are elements you to just play around with. I'm trying to show as I go to make myself learn this stuff. Look at my first upload and post and description. All screwed up. So it will give you an idea of what not to do.

And there's also copying this code to create a link-
< ---- Breaking html code so it will show --- >
a href="//kat.ph/user/Seraphin8080/"> -Roughly the end of the code>
---
Here's an image of what this looks like on your torrent page to find it.

So if all goes well you should be able to see what I'm trying to say... but there's a good chance I screwed it up. Hopefully someone will come along and give better instructions.

Two items:
1. Corrected my screwed up description on my torrent page.
2. I'm reading a ratio of 11.086 -is that good so far?
TIA,
