Heroes - Superpowers.
Eastbound & Down - Comedy
X-Files - Sci-Fi / Horror

I suppose you've seen Fringe, awesome series shame that its finishing with the next season.
Game of thrones is also a great show.
Continuum is new looks pretty good.
But none of these have Zombies and werewolves.
Supernatural and Vampire Diaries are a must.
