Nudity on Avatars.. [Solved]01 August 2012, 22:57 (9 months ago)
 Im Open Source/Mind person, to be honest I never had that thought or see it this way before. ..2 me was normal see some nudity on avatars or post... till yesterday.. were me, wife and my wto childs (6 and 9 yeras old Boy/Girl) together we was searching for some G/PG good movie to watch it at home .. The nudity wasn't "art or just light" .. it was clear and obvious expressed.. they saw it, still remember my kids & wife faces Not intention to Create a Controversy here... just thoughts. 40 replies before
The top right under settings there is a filter you can tick to block out XXX stuff. I know.. but was on/under a user avatar ..plz don't use this site or view it if not above the guidelines...thnx.. No Sr.. please stop your guessing Presumption about my "intentions of using KAT .." on this matter ... btw Presumption of innocence rings any belt up there ? ..u haven't gone somehow in the xxx section? Yes indeed. The current default is Family Safety Filter Off and perhaps it should be Family Safety Filter On but I haven't seen too many people express concerns about that.  Family friendly is a a subjective term but nowhere does KAT claim to be a children oriented site. As adults we must make the final decision. Need help here .. Family safe filter, it does not apply to Avatar .. does it?  I think the most dangerous thing for kids is the ones whose parents think that they should insulate them from stuff and act as if society should some how change to their parental values. Rather than having an open honest dialogue with them. So they pass their hang up on to the kid. Then the kid gets out into the real world as half an adult and is just completely lost. The only ones they have to turn to are other kids whose parents screwed them up.
Kids aren't stupid. Talk to them. Tell them the crazy stuff they might come across online or that their friends talk about isn't reality. Teach them proper ways to deal with the situations they are going to encounter rather than ignoring them and trying to hide them from your kid because they make you uncomfortable. I'm gonna say no to that, I think it's just for browsing torrents. +1 @webRG I thought does not.. that was making point comment  Interesting topic ... while most of the avatars that I use on many of the forum style sites I belong to are very pg, I do have one that may be considered kind of racy which I refrain from using. Although I think it's beautiful, I realize that it can also be taken the wrong way, or even offend some users.
 This is just my personal view on the nudity thing whether it's online, in magazines or where ever. There's a time a place for everything and an avatar is no place for it!! You want to see nudity, buy a playboy or rent a porno, but DO NOT UPLOAD CHILDREN'S MOVIES IF YOU HAVE A NUDE AVATAR PERIOD!!!  I'll call you out as a pedophile for it   who rents anything?  this is`nt ebay it`s a torrent site (torrent sites are a little bit naughty) but at the same time i don`t want a penis avatar poked in my face when i login. so `im kind of on the fence on this one.Indeed .. on top of that .. i almost get face slapped here .. my women was at me.. i know was my fault , thought.
