Android :-) Tower: Cooler Master HAF 932 CPU: Intel Core i7 2600K Sandy Bridge Mobo: ASUS P8P67 EVO B3 Sandy Bridge gfx: Gainward GeForce GTX 570 Phantom ram: Corsair 8GB DDR3 1600MHz CL9 OS: Windows 7 64bit hd: Caviar Black 2000 GB harddisk ssd: Corsair 180GB psu: Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold 800W monitor: Dell 30 UltraSharp U3011 I am pretty sure I dont need a new one - its just exiting to put a new pc together. :D Dude, your set up is Nice! It's up to you but seems like you don't need to replace it JUST YET. maybe you can add a thing or two. GPU: SLi GTX570 OR (get rid of your gtx570 and sell it OR give it to me? ROFL hahahaha) GPU: SLi GTX660Ti (buy yourself a new pair) RAM: 2Gb per slot? or 4Gb*2 or 8Gb single? cuz if you got slots left, then you can add more RAM. Your MoBo can support up to 32Gb of RAM if you happen to know. If you want, you might wan't to buy four 8Gb RAMs. CPU+MOBO are great already in their own right if you ask me. In my case? If only there is a X79 MoBo that supports my current CPU (Q9450, 12Mb Cache), I wouldNOT change my CPU at all. Very very happy with it. Word to the wise, I will not do business with MSI ever again, NOT Ever! not unless they are the only ones left. They just know how to make something look or sound or read better than they actually are. Their bells and whistles are just drawings compared to their competitors bells and whistles, they have more impact with their real bells and whistles, if you know what I mean. MSI just knows how to bullshit their way to your pockets. period. MSI support is horrible and a step behind to a negative status. (standing on eggshells) MSI products are exaggerated (don't be fooled by their marketing stunts and fancy labels and all) Last edited by Android262648, 9 months ago ram is 4x2 :) so could upgrade to 16gb is necessarily but really 8 gb is more than enough for now :)
The next upgrade I make is most likely another gtx 570 phantom (they arent that expensive anymore) When that is done my whole setup supports a great oc possibilty with water cooling so that might be a project in a year or so. :-) if I should make a new pc now it would something like this:
Tower: Cooler Master HAF X Black CPU: Intel Core i7 3770K Ivy Bridge MOBO: ASUS P8Z77-V PRO gfx: Gainward GeForce GTX 680 Phantom (4 GB) Memory: Corsair 16GB DDR3 1600MHz (4x) OS: Windows 7 Prof. 64-bit HDD: Western Digital WD Black - 2TB SSD: OCZ Vertex 4 SSD - 256 GB PSU: Corsair Professional Series Gold AX850 Approx price: 2650 dollars Since I feel this setup is very similar to the one I already have it would be stupid to buy a new one now. Still looks pretty snappy :-D all up to you MichalGreve, BUT it would be a shame to put aside your current pc setup with that of your wishlist.
much more realistic to SLi your GTX570 and add RAM(if you want to add RAM) OR SLi up Two New GTX660Ti's. THEN while you have that.... Wait for the next Generation GPU/MOBO/CPU TECH Last edited by Android262648, 9 months ago My half retarded take on this subject:
First for full disclosure I run the ATI Mobility Raedon 5800 series. ![]() I am very pleased with it because I feel it is much more versatile, and I need it for running Video post production software as well as gaming. I also feel this way because its what I got so I have to like it. It's kind of like being born a Hot Spur fan. It runs like a gem about 10 months a year, and then every one in a while you get caught in driver hell and curse it for a couple weeks until you get sorted. It is terrific for what I need it for. For supernerding there was recently some very big news though. I think NVIDIA may have just kicked ATI in the mommy daddy button, especially for people on a budget. http://kotaku.com/5935267/nvidias-most-powerful-graphics-technology-just-got-much-more-affordable It's kind of awesome for the money, and the article runs full spec comparisons that make me a little envious looking towards my next update. My biggest complain with the Raedon is their updates tend to equate to a week of blue, white, black and orange screens of death at an irritating rate. Usually there is a fix for it quickly, but it sucks for those short terms. i learned a trick when installing driver updates. most of the time after the installation finishes it'll say "some errors occurred during the installation." when that happens just run the setup again right there and then and after that you'll get an "installation complete" instead. and then restart comp
AMD releasing new one, cpu and gpu all in one processor. i forgot what it was called though Last edited by MOST_WASTED4580, 9 months ago MOST_WASTED4580

thanks actually its been a while since i updated. no real reason to do it yet. do not fix what aint broke :)
Well, while it's a wise philosophy, it does not work for graphics drivers. Most new games get performance optimizations in new driver releases.
Installing graphics drivers used to be a nail biting experience but now it's mostly painless. ![]() ahhhh the guru of any hour. nice of you to drop by pal! you know, eachtime I log into KAT, like i ever log out hehehehe... whenever I get here (better), or get back home here, where i am temporarily living. I always look forward to getting to this thread and hearing from people but most especially you pal!
that's just what i can honestly say. ...And thank you for your help with my up & coming rig. Sorry to hurl so many inquiries at you. how u been doin pal? Last edited by Android262648, 9 months ago |
