For those of you who live in the United States, what are your opinions on this bill that just went through?

If this passes we will follow Canada, Europe, Australia, and most other civilized countries example of how to make sure that everyone has health insurance. We can afford to pay for two wars on the national debt but then we can't ensure everyone has access to medical care? That sounds like the same logic that resulted in the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy.

The war that is draining the USA is the one on poverty that has done nothing but break up families, pay women to have babies that they can't afford to take care of. Any tax increase or reduction will impact the rich the most. Pleas tell me why you think the Bush tax cuts were for the wealthy. Obama does not have any logic, his ideas are only generalities. HOPE, CHANGE, REFORM AND BS.

The vast majority of the dollar amounts of those tax cuts went to the top 1% of Americans. Also since 1980 Republicans have slashed the capital gains tax which also benefits the richest people, those who make a lot of money from investments instead of income. The middle class continues to pay the highest percentage of their money to the government. Rich individuals and corporations have armies of lawyers who know every tax loophole. Do you think the average teacher or police officer or secretary has extra cash to shell out for a high priced accounting firm? This country is so tilted to the rich and corporations its is almost comical if it weren't so sickening. The Pentagon spends more on air conditioning in Afghanistan than the entire budget of NASA. We should be taking care of our poor and middle class and exploring space not wasting money on foolish wars of choice. Unions have been completely eviscerated and the little guy has no one looking out for him.

The backers of the gigantic government spends much more than the armies of lawyers to publicize push and brainwash the uneducated of the USA. Obama's admin is doing nothing but trying to buy votes. War on Women, Illegal aliens children. Refinance homes. Capital gains, do you know why that is taxed at a lower rate? It is because the investor is risking their own money and are therefore enticed into investing in things that end up creating jobs and profit for the increase in revenue for the gov. Btw a real example of the risk, Obama stole 70 percent of the investment of bond holders and prime stock of GM and gave it to his long time buddies the union. And unfortunately you are believing a lot of distorted info put out by progressive news and propaganda information services.

Also a tax cut does not GIVE any money to anyone. Who did Robin Hood steal from.

That is true. The auto thing is a choice. The health thing isn't. If you do not want to pay for auto insurance don't drive. You can not avoid paying for the health insurance.
