Who would you vote for as president or who would you like to be president of the United States:
Thread Rules: 1. No Nay Saying 2. No Negative comments or descriptions of any sort 3. Just focus on why he should be the President of this great nation (USA duh) 4. No flaming, nor fighting among participants in the thread 5. Lets keep things peaceful and civil 6. Just positively describe or say why you chose him or like him as POTUS 7. Don't Point-Out why that person should not be the president 8. No trolls & No Trolling around 9. No political Party lashing, okay. Things can easily get out of hand due to subjective views. Get it!? Got!? Good!? Rules are simple enough. Quotes from the TWO competing candidates to get you thinking and going: Barrack Obama Quotes: "It was the labor movement that helped secure so much of what we take for granted today. The 40-hour work week, the minimum wage, family leave, health insurance, Social Security, Medicare, retirement plans. The cornerstones of the middle-class security all bear the union label." --Barrack Obama “I’m in this race not just to hold an office, but to gather with you to transform a nation.” - February 10, 2007 Presidential announcement. --Barrack Obama “Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.” (Speech following Super Tuesday results, Feb 5, 2008.) --Barrack Obama “As Americans, we can take enormous pride in the fact that courage has been inspired by our own struggle for freedom, by the tradition of democratic law secured by our forefathers and enshrined in our Constitution. It is a tradition that says all men are created equal under the law and that no one is above it.” --Barrack Obama “Focusing your life solely on making a buck shows a certain poverty of ambition. It asks too little of yourself. Because it’s only when you hitch your wagon to something larger than yourself that you realize your true potential.” --Barrack Obama “There is not a black America and white America and Latino America and Asian America — there is the United States of America” --Barrack Obama “As Americans, we can take enormous pride in the fact that courage has been inspired by our own struggle for freedom, by the tradition of democratic law secured by our forefathers and enshrined in our Constitution. It is a tradition that says all men are created equal under the law and that no one is above it.” --Barrack Obama “It took a lot of blood, sweat and tears to get to where we are today, but we have just begun. Today we begin in earnest the work of making sure that the world we leave our children is just a little bit better than the one we inhabit today.” --Barrack Obama Mitt Romney Quotes I believe in an America where millions of Americans believe in an America that's the America millions of Americans believe in. That's the America I love. --Mitt Romney America cannot continue to lead the family of nations around the world if we suffer the collapse of the family here at home. Mitt Romney And the American people are the greatest people in the world. What makes America the greatest nation in the world is the heart of the American people: hardworking, innovative, risk-taking, God- loving, family-oriented American people. Mitt Romney I feel very deeply about the need to respect and tolerate people of different social - or sexual orientation. But at the same time, I believe marriage should be preserved as an institution for one man and one woman. Mitt Romney I believe in an America where millions of Americans believe in an America that's the America millions of Americans believe in. That's the America I love. Mitt Romney My view is that marriage is a relationship between a man and a woman. That's the position I've had for some time, and I don't intend to make any adjustments at this point... Or ever, by the way. Mitt Romney 100 replies before
Obama, but having said that are choices really suck this time around. I suppose Obama is the lesser of 2 evils though. Romney just looks like "the bad guy".
I live in Massachusetts, the state where Romney was governor. Romney forced us all to have health insurance over here so in terms of Obama vs Romney on healthcare get ready to be forced to pay for healthcare no matter who wins. I don't go running to the hospital for every little ache and pain. My cousin who is a nurse told me one time a woman called an ambulance because she had a cold (yes a cold). I disagree with healthcare for all. I who doesn't go to the hospital barely at all should not have to pay the same rate as someone who goes in for a head cold. Remember, free healthcare is not free. We will all have to pay for it in our taxes. That' my 2 cents. you got no choice! either obama or romney! no matter what you say nor do. those two are the only choices we americans have (whether naturalized or born).
if anyone thinks both of them are evil, well here's the thing, everyone is. there are no saints in government. So better pick the lesser evil or the one that will end up positively affecting all levels of people in the whole society of the nation NOT just the few selected levels/member-types in society. Last edited by Android262648, 7 months ago first off i think jon stewart should run for president. romney looks too sure of himself, obama already kinda knows what to expect, i dont know, leaning towards obama i guess (besides looking at the 2 who looks more like he will screw u over?
