Every once in a while, we come across a program/application that is way too overpriced for what it does. It drives us nuts, and is why we use torrents in the first place - we don't want to pay hundreds of dollars for something that should be about fifty.
So, post some programs or applications here that you think is too overpriced for what their function is. A screen shot is nice, but not required. ![]() Final Draft 8 - I chose this badboy because, basically, it's a script writer. Guess how much it is to buy? $200.00! Um, I'll stick to Word, thank you very much. ElcomSoft Password Recovery Bundle Forensic Edition 2012
. ![]() . ![]() $3,995.00 http://www.elcomsoft.com/purchase/ @proudprof: your here, which means your a pirate. so when you spout off like the above post it makes me wonder why you are here. if you can afford the software, and use it to make money then you have no business here. but if your broke and can't afford to pay the mass amount of money for software that you might use a handful of times for purely entertainment then your comments are redundant all things considered.
@general useres: software is way overpriced, but then so is hardware. if i spend 1000's of dollars on hardware, build me a great rig in a nice case and make it look great. But oh wait...now i have to spend 250$ on windows to use my computer i spent so much money on already? UMMM NO. thats why we are pirates. or perhaps i spend 2500$ on a new big screen lcd tv. and then another 200$ on a bluray player. you mean after 2700$ i still have to pay to put a movie in the player just to be able to use my expensive entertainment center? UMMM NO. if you can afford to pay for software, you should. many people spent hours, weeks, days, months, and sometimes years building software and games and media for us to use, enjoy, or be productive using. if you can support them you should. if you can't then thats why you are here. @proudprof: your here, which means your a pirate. so when you spout off like the above post it makes me wonder why you are here. if you can afford the software, and use it to make money then you have no business here. but if your broke and can't afford to pay the mass amount of money for software that you might use a handful of times for purely entertainment then your comments are redundant all things considered. @general useres: software is way overpriced, but then so is hardware. if i spend 1000's of dollars on hardware, build me a great rig in a nice case and make it look great. Um, I'll stick to Word, thank you very much. sorry but I dont think $200 is over priced adobes Story is free BTW Cost is depend on the industry it for i think you will find that Engineering a Entertainment software is what costs the most ive heard that Theres a Software package from Autodesk Discreet Inferno fire flint flame and smoke that over $1000000 that used for Special effects in movies ![]() Last edited by BrutisTheDog637, 1 year ago I was going to buy myself Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro a couple of years ago, it was $400 but when I tried to buy it online they wanted £400 thus screwing me for about 45% on the exchange rate at the time.
So sod that. I do buy software from small US developers in dollars online, but I'm not being ripped off by Adobe over the exchange rate. Even tho people invest time and resources to make a software like any other products with commercial idea behind , selling it overpriced is another deal . Just look at video games ... At least years ago they made pretty appealing packages with some descent manuals that worth reading now they don't even bother , and just put ludicrous price on it , the manual is basically one page thing with " put this code online via steam you punkass". As a Kid i could afford to buy Game cds such as DoomII, Nuke Nukem, or command and conquer . Now i'm a grown up with a standard job who find game dvds are freaking overpriced and unaffordable brand new

I take your point...but not necessarily a pirate...if your uploading and/or downloading then yes...your a pirate..but if your simply socialising and using the forums for that purpose, then your NOT a pirate....so being 'HERE' isnt really a true statement. ![]() He is a pirate. he uploads and downloads. he is a verified uploader actually. http://kat.ph/user/prodprof/uploads/ if your here to download ANYTHING digital for free that should cost money, your a pirate. im just saying its its hypocritical to tell people to buy software when your a pirate through and through. "deaf leading the blind" metaphor comes to mind. OVERPRICED SOFTWARE FAIL!
![]() ![]() I am very much interested in doing 3d stuff.... so i needed to download vray... for google sketchup 8 pro actually.... which is much cheaper costing only $800 Last edited by dragmasterflash1197, 1 year ago |
