PLEASE DO NOT INCLUDE YOUR IP ADDRESS WHEN POSTING

For the people who are aware of how the MPAA or the RIAA works by using trackers to catch people illegally downloading content it will greatly boost the morale of downloaders when people advise others that a letter or email has been sent. This is a p2p site which means as you are downloading you are also uploading at the same time. Downloading is illegal as well as uploading. So torrent trackers place themselves on here as an anonymous ip address in the torrent swarm waiting on someone to download their content and so they can whine to your Internet Service Provider. Then your ISP will sent you a letter or email stating they were informed that your IP Address was caught illegally uploading/downloading content. Mainly your isp can care less what you download as long as you are a well paying customer but after a large number of infractions they may release your name and you can be sued or harassed by the anti p2p organization. So use safety when downloading content and get a seedbox or a vpn and use peer block. Also find torrents older than a month old because normally it takes as little as a few days to over a month for the email or letter to be sent so after a torrent has seeded for a month read the comments and also be safe. thanks....

This was my email:
Excerpt from complaint:
---
IP Address:
Port:
Title: The Devil Inside
Filename: The Devil Inside 2012 CAM
Distribution found at: 2012-03-16 22:11:59 GMT
Local time: March 16, 2012 03:11:59 PM
Protocol: BitTorrent
The copyright holder alleges that at March 16, 2012 03:11:59 PM, they were able to connect to the IP address. This IP address was assigned to your connection at that time. During the connection they say that they found that portions of the file The Devil Inside was actively being distributed from your connection. They conclude that as they were able to extract a portion of the file The Devil Inside 2012 CAM from your connection that their exclusive distribution rights are being violated. They are asking that the file sharing stops immediately. Please note, we can trace the IP address to your account. The actual file could be shared from any computer behind your router, including ones that connect wirelessly.
Should you want further information on the complaint, please reply to this email.
Not worried about it to much...

I wonder if changing the name of the torrent to something other than obvious "Mission Impossible 3" would deter??? Seems simple but I mean it says in the infractions from Comcast the actual name of torrent and they are usually the actual movie. Seems like a no brainer. I got popped when I shut off my peer block to access a blocked website and forgot to turn back on. Big dummy!!

Changing the name doesn't really matter. They can care less that you have the file still on your computer. All they care about is they caught you getting said file. They got your IP and ISP.

ProXPN threw me under the bus, LOL, kind of. I was caught downloading yet another film about 2 months ago. My VPN kept my identity a secret, but now I have been denied access to my local servers here in the U.S. ProXPN advised me to start using their Amsterdam servers instead. .... Do you know what the Ping in milliseconds is to Amsterdam? Larger than the US Deficit! LMAO!
The "Paid" ProXPN speeds are fantastic, but since they claim to support SOPA, I was shocked when they took that action. There is nothing in their sales pitch about being protected "only for a one-time occurrence." They must have left that part out in their FAQs.
The joke is that I was protecting THEM by using PeerBlock, which obviously doesn't work either. LOLROTF!
Now I'm on a Proxy, but I figure that all of this playing around for 3 years is just a waste of time. It would definitely be cheaper to buy a Seedbox for $150 and then get caught with it 1.5 years from now. wink lol
My 'opinion' is that nothing is safe any more. It's just a "shell game," every 18 months you get caught and there is nothing you can do about it. tongue
Well put, very understandable. Kinda surprised about your Proxy, tho.
I guess the rules still apply: if you're gonna get a "hot" torrent, nothing's gonna stop it.
