I think the most likely thig to happen would be the planets poles shifting and causing world wide panic as storms of unknown origin arise throughout deserts and dry heats bombard tropical and green areas. Then solar flares will start popping through as multiple magnetic poles start emerging, causing electronics and navigations to malfunction, as well as causing plane crashes and satellites to fall from their orbits. Cities destroyed and chaos&bedlam would ensue as big bundles of happy solar blasts bombard the planet and fry the oceans/critters that live in it and on the areas of dry-land that are unlucky. That might lead to a lot of other disaster catastrophe scenarios as well.

I think it will be the improbability drive going into overload.
I also think we'd be better off planning and dreaming about tomorrow's breakfast selection than spending more than the briefest of moments discussing or pondering the HOW of this subject.
Discussing and pondering the WHY, that is much more interesting and worthwhile.
