As you might see in your profile we added a pack of first achievements! But we really want to add more!

In this thread you can post your ideas about new achievements or even achievement types! Or anything related to the existing ones.

How about an award for non-mods who find fake torrents and report them?

...How about an award for when people leave positive feedback on your comments?

Or even put a section of Bad Awards (picture a rotten/moldy banner) for people that get negative feedback and put up fake uploads.

The ones that reward comments and posts can cause people to go very verbose just to get points. Sometimes the comments can be almost inane.

The bad rewards are already in play. Do something wrong and our mods will warn, delete, ban, cause your computer to blue screen or some other evil thing.

I think that any award should only be given to members who actively contribute to KAT, ie reporting fakes/abusive comments/posts or helping other members either with problems or passing on knowledge that may be interesting and informative etc.

If you start handing out awards for the number of posts or downloads that a member has then that is going to lead to some members taking advantage and downloading or posting any old thing just to get an award, awards should be meaningful and should represent a genuine achievement.

i agree TM

post count should mean nothing more than a post count

ive noticed that the forum has started posting threads to XXXX has become a senior member ect

imho this is not good as it encourages members to post for the sake of posting to get their count up.

and as for rewarding the amount of d/loads ha the d/load should be reward enough ,its the uploader that should get the recognition imo

as they have took the time ,trouble and risk to upload the files

Isn`t this award system a bit like pinning a medal on Mutley from the wacky

Agree with all of that. I think there are a lot of people here that don't know what uploads or downloads are. I think some have them backwards. An upload is something that goes from your own computer somewhere else. A download is something that comes from somewhere to your own computer - like a torrent and subsequently a file or files.

There might be a problem on the tech side.

We wanted to make a KickAssTorrents Ready achievement for all the simple ones, but this is very hard with the current scripts. In future we will probably rewrite the scripts.

But I'll ask "the wizards" anyway :) Maybe we'll put it in To-do.

fair user, or fair downloader: would depend on ratios

edit: should be rare achievement as it would/could depend also on the torrents properly seeded by time/upload ratio

Lurker maybe, browsing or have like searched fifty searches but haven't downloaded a thing.

Or 'stalker', when you've looked at, let's say, 100 account profiles. :D
