Just wondering what are people's view on this and is it any good, this is what I have found out about it " Tribler is an open source peer-to-peer client with various features for watching videos online. The user interface of Tribler is very basic and focused on ease of use, instead of including features.[2] Tribler is based on the BitTorrent protocol and uses an overlay network for content searching.[3] Due to this overlay network Tribler does not require an external website or indexing service to discover content.[4] Tribler features include: video-only searching, experimental video streaming, and an integrated video player. Tribler is available for Linux, Windows and OS X.[5] "
![]() it looks impressive, but it is too much like Facebook, as it offers a profile and friending feature which is unnecessary in a p2p client. Last edited by AstroTronix20338, 11 months ago Doesn't it also offer the user the option of being anonymous?
After all you don't have to use the profile section. Last edited by TimeBandits15969, 11 months ago Researchers at Delft University of Technology have taken up the ambitious challenge of creating a BitTorrent client which secures the privacy of its users. Their Tribler client is already completely decentralized, meaning it will still work even in the event that all BitTorrent sites are shut down. Anonymity is the next big step in its evolution. “We’re going to take Internet privacy to the next level,” the lead researcher says about the upcoming release.
Original Article It's a good torrent client but it features too many useless things. I will stick by Tixati for as long as its operational. Tixati is faster and more stable than all other torrent clients out there. It's hard to set up but once you're done with that there are no further settings required.

Not really. Two completely different places. |
