Because using FLAC or CD rips gets you the best audio quality. I'm pretty sure you don't HAVE to, but it's the best option.

Mr. Bubanee62074 Kat Staff just thinks FLACness is next to godliness is all...plus, it's the same quality as what comes directly from a bought and paid for CD.

I just played about on photoshop and gif animator. Made something up.

Why do you have to download flac? you don't have to at all! did you see the part where i wrote "If you don't have any CD's"
Also Flac is a lossless format just like WAV (CD 1411kbps) all flac is, is where it takes out all the quiet bits and leaves the music untouched.. If not the greatest codec ever made and it's so old as well.. They got Flac right the first time!... so converting a proper flac to Wav will give you back the quiet useless bits of 1411kbps with No Loss.. or if you go the other way and convert/encode a Flac to MP3 you will get a 'No Transcoded top notch" MP3!.. not like some of the rubbish 320cbr crap found in torrents...
