In recent times i'm seeing A LOT of people abusing this system, I'll explain a little..

After you have uploaded 20 torrents (Newbies don't bother within 1 month) you can apply for a Verified Uploader status. Verified Uploaders get all their uploads automatically verified, listed on special KickassTorrents upload page and in addition get protection from an accidental deletion due to a mod mistake.

As you know this is the rule/s for applying but i will not acccept ANYONE who just randomly upload 20 torrents like a crazed man on a mission! or an angry housewife..

(Most popular thing i see) some of you don't even seed the torrent or you have all 20 going at once... (pending on fast connections and seedboxes, 20 might not be a problem) but lot of you are not interested because you want the VU status..

•What we are looking for is a good space between uploads that are somewhat seeded.

•A mix of your own work and maybe a torrent or two from elsewhere that is NOT listed here at KAT (be sure to give props to original uploader and do not retag or duplicate another)

•Comments on your uploads is a good sign but not really a hassle.

•Step into the forum and make a Release Thread in the Releasers section again not really a hassle but it does HELP you to get notice... Here
ed]Boobsman-SuperMod - I also look at time on site, too many people upload the 20 torrent minimum within a day or 2 and expect to get VUL status straight away, this is not how it works. Verified status needs to be earned, you need to be able to show that you can follow the rules n that means time on site, replying to questions and not getting into trouble! ~
So at the end of the day i'm basically saying and being polite about it.. Knock off the 20 quick uploads, there's plenty of time to become a verified uploader. just get settled a bit, don't rush...

I gave up. No matter what I did they would say no. The counter that shows how many seeds you have for a torrent is always wrong but they will base there decision on this. Its a messed up system. Sick to here the excuses not to approve. It seems to be a little club of members to be a VUL. I just wont waste my time uploading anymore.

You must have 20 uploads to be in consideration and you have 17. You have a couple with quite a few seeds. Hang in there friend.

1. Try updating the metadata for each torrent.
2. Wait for a month like Bubanee62257 said... and then in the fifth or sixth attempt, voila!

You need atleast 20 seeded torrents, and active uploading would be an advantage..

It's not a messed up system. 20 is the min to get it. But just because you have 20 ups, doesn't mean your automatically a VUL. I have 26 ups and not a VUL. Your ups need to have seeds and be active. You can have 1000 ups and no seeds and not get VUL. You can have 20 ups with lots of seeds and get VUL

I would say no on attitude alone

Just keep up your work and be respectful

Goto adopt an uploader thread and post your links and I'll help seed any you upload

I suppose this is a good spot to ask a few questions.
What does torrent verification involve? I'd actually love someone to double check and verify that i've done this right, uploaded about a dozen ebooks i've found since demonoid went down.
I didn't scan them myself, i found them via cyberlockers or usenet, and uploaded them because i couldn't find them on a torrent site. Is that a problem since they're not "my work", like you were talking about earlier in the thread, or is it ok, since they're unique and new to the site? (that seems like a stupid question, but like i said..new to the whole uploading thing, i jsut want to make sure i'm getting the etiquette right)
I've got 10 or 12 seeding (at least i hope they're seeding), which shouldn't be an issue since books are tiny right? no need for a seedbox or anything?
Anyway, not looking for verified user status, though if it means no more bloody captcha when i'm trying to upload i may put in a request in a month or two :)
